Paul Smith

For this website, the interest is that on that opening day, a local group played outside on the street. The group was ‘High Bread Mishap‘, a loose Beefheart style blues improvisational outfit formed by Nick Turner and Mick Gorman along with Steve Morley and Archie MvElvie. This group had a cast of members, eventually ending up with Wayne Evans and Mick Barratt who go on to form ‘Gaffa‘ in 1972.
