John was part of the studio house band at Mike Finesilver and Peter Ker’s Pathway studios in north London from 1969 to 1974. Alongside Mike Finesilver, Peter Ker, Max Middleton, Alan Gowen, Steve Witherington, Paul Carrick and many others he would be involved in Mike Finesilvers projects. In his spare time John recorded these songs with a couple of friends helping out on piano. Bill Fay was around the studio recording his own songs at the time and Peter Ker was on hand to help out on a couple more.
