Viking Rhythm V

Late fifties Nottingham Skiffle and Rhythm group.

The Double Bass has a home made triangular shape.

Founded by leader Terry Penn the group played rock ‘n’ roll numbers and played the now famous “2 I’s Coffee Bar” in London. While in London they would also take part in an audition. Preceding that, they played a gig in Nottingham Prison accompanied by Nottingham vocalist Joyce Barratt.

Archie Roberts took on the managers role based in Selston.

Terry Penn would go on to have a long career in music playing in a succession on groups in the sixties before finding recording success with Whichwhat.
