Sammy Sweet Clarke
Samuel made a record that was released on Nottingham label “Rainbow Sound” called “Warrior / Mr. Dreadlock” and produced by K. Henriques. It it said to be a 12″, RSL 133, plays at 45rpm and released in 1980 although there is no date on the record so that might not be accurate.
Worked with The Natualites etc at the Marcus Garvey Centre.
“Samuel Sweet Clarke and Family” released an album in 2019 called “Aha Yah Love” on Gold Medal Records GMRLP001. I’m guessing that this is the same person and four of the tracks are by Sammy. One is called “Nottingham Town” referencing St Anns, Meadows, Radford, Hyson Green. Hear it here.
