Nottingham blues group circa 1969
Red Wine were the first group of brothers Paul and Trevor Dickens who were from Carlton. This group changed its name in January 1970 to To-Day so we can assume the line up was the same.
Paul Dickens: Bass guitar, Violin
Trevor Dickens: Vocals, Flute, Oboe
Rob White: Guitar
Tony Smith: Drums
They were part of the Milton’s Head blues scene of 1968/69 and played various venues around Nottingham including the Carlton, 360 Club in Bulwell, Milton’s Cellar, the Cavalier in Bestwood and the Beachcomber club.
