A compilation album released in June 1974 featuring Nottingham rock groups.

Before I talk about this album I have to point out that it was released in June 1974. The date of release was never added to the label or cover and the prevailing wisdom has been that this album was released in 1973. I think this has come about by the fact some twenty years ago when the details were uploaded to the Discogs website by a well meaning person they either guessed from memory or remembered incorrectly and that information has gradually been passed around and accepted. I myself, even though I’ve had the album for a long time, took this as correct for a while until I checked up. The following two newspaper cuttings confirm the 1974 release date. Also Cisco, who are on the album weren’t in existence in 1973, although getting together in November of ’73 to rehearse didn’t play their first gigs until January 1974.
