Nimbus

Nottingham Jazz Rock group 1973-75. Compared in some ways to Cisco but with the emphasis more on jazz than rock.

Mel Thorpe – Tenor Sax, Flute
Les Shaw – Drums
Geoff Pearson – Bass
Roger Munn – Piano
Bruce Wooley – Guitar (son of Brian Wooley)

Les Shaw had been in the first line up of Robert Hirst and the Big Taste. They played the Imperial and Moor Farm Inn. By the summer of 1975 they changed their name, and possibly line up, to Big Elbow

Described as heavy rock but probably not heavy rock but heavy jazz.
