“When my dad bought me the Shadows bass, in the photo it cost 163 guineas from St Giles music shop in London in 1966. Dad had to take a loan, bless him“

Marty Wilson: “Our Dad’s were chaperoning us, they would have been in their 40,s at the time, and remember them getting among the girls! My Dad liked the blonde standing far left, wonder why? Actually, I did too. At the time we did a Shadows show, no singing, just instrumentals!“. “We did The People’s National Talent Competition there, and think that was why we did the Edmund Hockridge show, great times“.

They were on the club band circuit. Even as school children they toured Italy during their school holidays (no doubt) and recorded a single while over there. Marty Wilson would later leave to start a solo career in 1970.

They recorded a 4 track acetate at Nottingham Sound Studio.

They also recorded a four track demo record with club singer Paul Wynter at Codolar studio on Middle Pavement, Nottingham.
