John Summers was from Worksop in Nottinghamshire. He was a coal miner who made a career in variety under various names starting in the fifties. He was in Morton Fraser Harmonica Gang. Read more about Morton Fraser here.

In the sixties he was signed up by Pye and released three singles. John sang ballads but a highlight is an up tempo “Don’t Fool Yourself“.
