Group formed around 1970. John E. Moon originated from the Langwith / Shirebrook area and often went to Mansfield to watch groups in his youth and Dead Lizard came from that end of Notts / Derbyshire border. They played The Plough and Harrow in Hucknall and Aquarius in Lincoln among others.

Line up:
Harold Butler: Guitar
Bill Gascoigne: Bass
Chris Rimmer: Drums
John. E. Moon: Guitar
As the card says, they were once a five piece band that slimmed down to a four piece. “A local Shirebrook guy sang for a trial but later managed us, Trevor Morgan, with one arm“. John E. Moon, Harold Butler and Chris Rimmer would later form “Care” in 1973. John later played in “Twice Removed” and “Twilight Victims” before becoming a recording engineer at the newly opened Radio Trent. John also recorded (bootlegged) many early seventies rock concerts like Sassafras, Allman Brothers, Santana, Roxy Music and then many concerts with Radio Trent including local groups. Bill Gascoigne left to join the Frank Turner Band who had just released an album on Fantasy called “Nice To Be On Your Show”.
