Mark Fayne and the Astronauts (formed Sept 63)

They had been Mark Fayne and the Tornadoes and then became Mark Fayne and the Fontains and eventually The Children. The Tornadoes Bass player was the brother of Jeff Kemp.

They appeared on the TV programme “For Teenagers Only” on Thursday Oct 3rd 1963 performing “I Believe”.

Tuesday Nov 5th 1963 they cut a demo disc at Northampton (maybe studio 36)
