An early to mid seventies rock band from North Notts area, maybe Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

Paul adds
“Magnum Opus circa 1975 with Paul Zawadski, Barry Pitt, Brendan Kidulis, Peter Baylis and Bill Hill.Good times 6 gigs a week, does anybody remember packed Monday night’s at Gedling MW a typical 70’s gig”. “When I first started playing clubs and pubs in the early 70’s with Magnum Opus this was my set up for just my guitar, and we used to get paid £18-25 for a 4 pc band! These days most bands don’t have this much gear between them, just a couple of combo’s and a pair of PA speakers…………..We must of been dedicated, or mad, especially when the gig was upstairs!”

Brendan Kidulis worked with Nottingham group Gaffa and released under own name in the late seventies and early eighties.

Paul went to on to play with 1980’s band Brandysnap amongst others.
