Nottingham group 1964 – 1967
The Mysteries were formed by Bob Todd and Wayne Ford and originally had a line up in 1964 of:
Wayne Ford: Lead Guitar
Bob Todd: Drums
Mick Hanson (Bass guitar) (real name Mick Anson)
Mick Fowkes: Vocals
John Spray: Rhythm Guitar
Mick Fowkes was from Kimberley.

Changes happened and a second five piece line up can be seen below.

Wayne Ford and Bob Todd left the band together and the replacement drummer was Bobby Bentley (later known as Bobby Charles) in 1965-66. Wayne Ford joined Carl and the Starlighters, Carl Pagan and the Heathens, Our Young and Whichwhat), Bob Todd also joined Carl Pagan and the Heathens, Our Young and Whichwhat). Read Bob Todd‘s story.
The new “Mysteries” line up became a four piece after Mick Fowkes left with Clive (Sutch) Lynch taking the lead singer role.

By the summer of 1965 they became known as “Mystery Blues“.
Mystery Blues did two tours of Germany playing the Star Club in Hamburg and the K52 Club in Frankfurt as well as the American army bases. One tour was probably between June to October 1966 and the other tour was between May and October 1967.
The Mystery Blues had different guitarists and the line ups from 1966 and 1967 were:
