Flash packet with Terry Paling, Martin Hall, Andy Terry, and Dave Hughes played at ceilidhs and barn dances.
Flash Packet played at ceilidhs and barn dances throughout the eighties. There was little recording of their work, however they did a couple of tracks one of which was used as the title music for BB Radio Nottingham’s folk music programme.

Terry Paling and Pete Bradley.
Terry played the Melodeon in Flash Packet, a barn dance band. At the time was also bagman of Dolphin Morris Men. I used to go watch the Morris from time to time and Terry spotted this and asked if I’d like to join them next practice season. I did. Later he realised I was a reasonable guitar player and I was invited along to sit in on a Flash Packet gig and never sat out again. Terry and I did a bit of a folk duo and we were invited to do a session for the radio Nottingham folk program. The recording was at RN when it was in York House. Recorded 5 tunes put our instruments back in their cases and that was that.
Bob Rowe was producer of the episode we were on.
BTW the opening tune on the RN program was called Three Jolly Sheepskins played by Flash Packet and that was recorded at RN.
