The Dolomites – Mid Sixties recordings

The Dolomites were a mid sixties beat group from Nottingham. Formed in 1964 by Ellis School students Ian Bainbridge (lead guitar), Jon Jayes (rhythm guitar), Steve Hurd (bass) and Maurice Higgs (drums) they played around the Nottingham area. Steve Otter replaced Maurice Higgs on drums and they played the clubs of Arnold, Bulwell, Basford, Hucknall and Ripley starting out with Shadows style music before moving on to a tougher RnB sound.
